It's weird how you so often dismiss the small things in life that are often also the most beautiful... I've walked past this tree in my front yard - probably a thousand times - only recently did I notice its heart shaped wound... ... oh well.. you know what they say.. love hurts ;)
Ever since taking this photo last Friday - I've decided to focus on the small things in life - the things that not many other people notice.. because those are the things that make me happy (yes.. that amputee tree made me happy)... and also - I believe that art is about showing the world what they miss by taking the small, everyday things in life for granted.

This is Mr Goldfish :) he's my lovely orange ipod shuffle. He likes to jog with me and watch me clean the house and cook in the kitchen - you know all the things that take an effort and are a hassle to do. He's so easy to carry around and he becomes such a part of me that I occasionally forget that he's there and sing along with him at the top of my lungs *blush-blush*.. seriously - it ain't a pretty sound. hehe!
